Mount Kilimanjaro
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a virtual climatic world tour, from the tropical rain forest on the lower slopes and alpine heath, to an almost bare alpine desert and finally the wintry artic summit of snow and ice, just 3 degrees south of the Equator.
MOUNT MERU
The focal point of Tanzania’s Arusha National Park is the active stratovolcano Mount Meru, which rises to a height of 4,566 metres. The peak is frequently referred to as the “little brother” of Mount Kilimanjaro. The mountain is just as difficult even if it is not as high as Kilimanjaro. Sixth highest in Africa and second highest in Tanzania, Mount Meru is renowned for its massive cliffs, lush green surrounds, and plethora of species!
More technical climbing abilities are needed to climb Mount Meru than routes up Kilimanjaro. Mount Meru makes up for its “lack” of height with its difficulties. Consequently, having some climbing experience is crucial.
