    9-Day Chimpanzee Trekking Mahale Itinerary

    Day 1 (Sunday): Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

    Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be met by your private transfer driver for a quick meet and greet, then transfer to your first hotel in Dar Es Salaam for check inn, dinner and overnight.

    Accommodation:

    Gold (Luxurious): Arusha Coffee Lodge or Similar – Half Board

    Day 2 (Monday): Arusha – Mahale National Park

    After breakfast, today you will be transferred to Arusha airport for Nomad’s Shared Charter flight to Mahale. Fly Arusha/Mahale. On arrival in Mahale, you will be met by Nomad’s Greystoke Mahale boat for boat transfer to the camp, arriving in time for lunch and check in. After lunch, you will continue with afternoon shared activities in the park as organized by the camp under game package, with English speaking guide until evening when you will return back to your camp for dinner and overnight on game package basis.

    Day 3 (Tuesday): Mahale National Park

    Morning and afternoon activities under game package as organized by your camp on shared basis with English speaking guide. Meals and overnight on game package basis.

    Day 5 (Thursday): Mahale National Park – Katavi National Park

    After breakfast, today you will be transferred to Mahale airstrip for Nomad’s Shared Charter flight to Katavi. Fly Mahale/Katavi. On arrival at Katavi, you will be met by Nomad’s Chada Katavi vehicle for transfer to the camp, arriving in time for lunch and check in. After lunch, you will continue with afternoon shared activities in the park as organized by the camp under game package, with English speaking guide until evening when you will return back to your camp for dinner and overnight on game package basis.

    Day 6 (Friday): Katavi National Park

    Day 9 (Monday): Katavi National Park – Kilimanjaro International Airport – Depart

    After breakfast, today you will be transferred to Katavi airstrip with packed lunch for Nomad’s shared flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Fly Katavi/JRO. On arrival in JRO, you will be met by our airport representative and assisted to connect your flight back home.

    NOTE: We are not holding anything as per above itinerary. So, space is entirely subject to availability at the time of booking. In case any accommodation in the itinerary shall not be available, we shall look for a similar back up, and if there will be any cost implication, we shall let you know and the difference shall be passed onto you.
